Things to do in Herndon at our Convention ...
GAMES:
Bring any game and you will find opponents wishing to play it. In
addition to lots of space for open gaming, we have regularly scheduled
events and tournaments. Tentative Schedule
now ONLINE! Please check the schedule for regular updates. Additionally,
if you wish to run an event, please contact our Gaming Room Czars
at gaming@BarkingMad.org.
FOOD:
What would a TCEP be without food-related events? Friday will see
us descend upon Hama Sushi for our annual feast (alternate
arrangements at Charbroil Steak House are made for those who
like their food cooked...), and on Sunday, we head over to the Custard
Shop for the Ice Cream Social! The fine print: The costs
for these events are NOT covered by your convention membership. More
information about Friday Night's destinations can now be found
online! Visit the Hama
Sushi Order Form if you're planning to go, as preorders are required!
Get your orders in early and avoid the last minute rush. For more
information, contact sushi@BarkingMad.org!
CON/VIDEO SUITE:
As always, multiple bread makers will be running in our con suite this year. We will again be turning out fresh loaves regularly during con suite hours. Add to that the traditional assortment of other munchies and liquid refreshments, as well as the wide selection of video attractions, and you have a nearly perfect place to sit and have a snack while waiting for your favorite events to start. Let us know if there's something particular you want to see, and we'll see what we can do!
LARP:
Exciting worlds filled with action and intrigue are being crafted as we speak! The Matrix Crashed, the newest Live Action Game from Angel One Productions, will be run exclusively at TCEP10. Cost is FREE with paid admission to TCEP 10. For those wishing to run their own LARP at TCEP 10, please contact us at larp@BarkingMad.org.
AMENITIES:
The hotel has a large, heated indoor pool, a jacuzzi and a fitness center. Additionally, each room has its own coffee maker. The program book will provide you with a guide to local culinary delights (as well as fast food), in addition to other local services and retail establishments. Occasionally, attendants will provide backrubs for attendees who have done exceptional work...
